Inanna, the Sumerian goddess of love, beauty, fertility and raw ambition, inspired this necklace. An ancient seal (the last photo here) depicts her crowned with horns and that upswept shape informed my hand-fabricated centerpiece of recycled 18K gold.
The surface of the gold is distressed and its edges are raw to suggest both antiquity and the pure stubborn tenacity that it takes to live true to oneself. The pendant is held by long oval links of textured and oxidized sterling silver, evoking sun and moon, day and night, serenity and ambition, love and war.
This necklace, which measures 16.5” in length (42cm) and ends with an oxidized silver lobster clasp, is ready to ship.
